	The successful candidate will have solid database design and development experience with demonstrated successful delivery. He/she will also have strong application design and development experience across a variety of technologies and business areas.</div>

	<strong> Primary responsibilities:</strong></div>
<ul>
	<li>
		Communicate effectively verbally and in writing to internal and external technical and non-technical constituents.</li>
	<li>
		Contributes strategic vision and integrates a broad range of ideas regarding application development.</li>
	<li>
		Build detailed Technical Design documents for Database centric projects which describe applications and systems that solve complex business problems.</li>
	<li>
		Determines the appropriate Database technologies to be used on projects.</li>
	<li>
		Championing appropriate new technologies through research and development work, building proof of concept applications, and evangelizing the technologies.</li>
	<li>
		Recognized across organization for database skills and sought as a resource for resolution of unique or complex database issues problems related to performance, maintainability, scalability, security, and extensibility.</li>
	<li>
		Undertakes complex application development projects involving multiple disciplines and may impact multiple business units. </li>

	<strong>Requirements/Qualifications:</strong></div>
<ul>
	<li>
		Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent in education and experience required.  Advanced certifications preferred.  </li>
	<li>
		Minimum of 10 years of database development experience in a high volume, large scale software development organization.</li>
	<li>
		Database design experience in SQL Server is essential (versions 2005 and 2008) and Informix experience is recommended.</li>
	<li>
		Database Administration experience of SQL Server is recommended.</li>
	<li>
		Demonstrated ability to design data structures that meet the needs of applications and systems that solve complex business problems is required.</li>
	<li>
		Considerable multi-platform development experience in Web (.net, C#, SQL, MSMQ, XML) is essential with Windows (C++, XML) and UNIX (C, C++ Informix, XML) preferred.</li>
	<li>
		Considerable knowledge of operating systems including, but not limited to Windows and UNIX.</li>
	<li>
		Considerable knowledge of SOA and Business Oriented Architecture.</li>
	<li>
		Considerable knowledge of emerging technologies.</li>
	<li>
		Team leadership experience.</li>
